Professor Scott is such a good professor. The lecture slides are clear and she does a good job of explaining everything as well. There's extra credit opportunities throughout the year and she sometimes drops your lowest quiz or homework score. You'll always know what to expect when it comes to quizzes and midterms. I really liked Professor Scott. She was super friendly, and I liked how lenient she was about dropping low scores. I didn't like how lecture-heavy every class was with an overabundance of material to memorize. I understand it's an intro course, but sometimes less is more. Class is mainly slide presentation which are all posted before the next lecture. Lots of information but quiz questions and exams are generally the main topics and are all MC. Loved this class. The class itself was a basic lecture based class. The quizzes are usually made up of a variety of homework questions and attendance questions then the exams are made up of some of those questions. This was Professor Scott's first year teaching at Northeastern Oakland, and she did amazing. Though her lectures are pretty heavy, people can participate or not. She will drop quizzes and homework and give extra credit.
