Great teacher, caring, wants you to learn, only quizzes and homework, and a final. No tests. Just participate and lecture and meet with him. Great class easy, and great teacherMECH3850 2020-08-03 03:16:43 +0000 UTC
He is a decent teacher that is easy on grading. He wants you to learn and do well. SOmetimes his lectures are hard to followME3445 2019-12-17 02:12:40 +0000 UTC
Kumar is a great Professor. He can help you out if you dont understand something and can help you with your grades. His quizzes and midterms are pretty straightforward and easy. If you just listen to him on the lesson, youll understand the topics and get a solid B. He does many problems which I find very helpfulME3455 2019-12-13 05:30:30 +0000 UTC
He does not know the material, comes in unprepared, can't answer questions, lectures are very dry, skipped some content. If you're looking to learn DON"T take the class with him, but if you want a decent grade then he might be easier than others - we were allowed to bring laptops in our midterm, decent grade curve, easy grading on testsME4550 2019-08-23 18:34:18 +0000 UTC
Prof. Kumar is a decent lecturer, especially if you are a quick learner, but he is not great at explaining in a different way if you don't understand at first. This being said, the class material is not difficult to begin with and he is an extremely lenient grader. Midterms were easy, final was brutal - but there was a final curve.ME2355 2018-12-31 00:45:26 +0000 UTC
An extremely kind and caring professor. He wants everyone to understand the material. The downside of this is he spends a lot of time explaining to students that are slow-learners or skipped prior classes. He is an easy grader and is understanding when it comes to grades. Values understanding concepts over getting the correct number in the end!ME2350 2018-04-15 21:57:07 +0000 UTC
Kumar is a great professor to have because he is simply a great person. He may breeze over some useful parts of your curriculum however the tests, quizzes & homeworks are relatively straightforward and related to each other. He makes a strong effect to make himself available for help too. Easy-ish grader and an understanding person overall.ME3455 2019-12-04 22:45:41 +0000 UTC
The class itself way easy enough to self study. In addition, he was an easy grader. He rarely gave quizzes and homework was in groups and assigned once a week. However, I found it very difficult to follow along in class and learned hardly anything in lectures. He usually came unprepared to lectures. He was accessible outside of class though.ME2355 2018-05-04 06:38:29 +0000 UTC
The class (Dynamics & Vibrations) was pretty much just physics, and uses a little differential equations at the very end, but overall very easy - you can skip lecture and read the book if necessary. He cares a lot about his students understanding and his own teaching ability. Lectures weren't bad but nothing special. Final was difficult but curved.ME3455 2018-12-31 00:54:00 +0000 UTC
He explains the subject with a great clarityME2355 2017-02-05 23:20:53 +0000 UTC
I really enjoyed being in this class. I was able to learn much better in this class as it was a much less stressful environment than many other classes I've taken in the UniversityME3455 2017-12-11 16:14:38 +0000 UTC
Puts effort into what he does, but lecture is difficult to follow at times. He seems unprepared to solve the problems he presents to class and will sometimes get equations or expressions incorrect in class. He doesn't really answer questions, rather he finds a roundabout way to describe something similar the same way 3 times.ME3455 2017-11-15 18:28:44 +0000 UTC
