Passionate about teaching and knows her material very well, but is a very tough grader. Class is usually engaging, but ~23% of grade comes from participation, so be on your game from day one. Caring towards her students - most memorable professor I've had. Lectures are engaging with group activities/discussions. Participation matters and she gives enough opportunities to participate. I had this course from 8am-noon on Saturday mornings - which could have been BRUTAL - but Barbara does a great job of holding it together, keeping the lecture interesting, and keeping the class fairly engaged throughout. Way too opinionated grading. Dont take puts off for not explaining the answer when the question doesn't say explain(Especially when you dont for other questions!). Professor Larson knows her material well and is good at getting the whole class to participate. The only thing I would say is she is a tough grader on papers, and she assigns way too many things during finals. The best professor I've had in the business program. She cares about students and wants you to do well. The grade is primarily based on a couple of tests (you are allowed a sheet of notes) and a large final paper. Professor Larson is a really great professor and has amazing lectures where you learn a lot, and makes the class interesting.
