Livermore was just average for mechanics. I think the issue was that she tried to teach mechanics using Matherne's updated course. While Matherne is good at warm ups, balance of time in class etc, Livermore doesn't effectively use that method. I think she would be better teaching her own way. An excellent professor. She's very flexible, understanding, and is available for extra help. She'll even learn everyone's name within several weeks. Her lectures are very clear, making even the most difficult topics much easier. Professor Livermore is a very lovely lady. She cares deeply about the success of her students and goes above and beyond to help her students. She created many unique demonstrations to explain difficult concepts and held review sessions outside of class time for tests that were very helpful. Mechanical Engineering is what it is and all the classes kind of suck. However, when it comes to teaching a difficult subject, Livermore gets it. Breath of fresh air in this curriculum. Professor Livermore is a fantastic professor. She is capable of taking very complex ideas and breaking them down into consumable ideas. If you pay attention in lecture, this class is very manageable.
