Passionate about the material and engaging. Graded based on written assignments, which he prepares you for. Grading is particular, if you pay attention to feedback, you'll be fine. Okay, I like him. He has really good lectures and gives the class a lot of time and effort. The class isn't boring and if you are interested in law it's a great class. BUT, you need to like reading, you have to read typically 1-3 cases for each class. Professor Childress is very tough grader, teaches class like it's a 3000 level course when in fact it a 1000 course as if its not required for all cj majors and minors , like this is one of the first courses you take when in the major and he made it difficult as possible.
