i dont understand the hatred. this was by far the easiest class (crime prevention) due to her teaching. I didnt read one thing and got an A. I took Crime Prevention with Robinson. Terrible class, terrible professor. Rude and unhelpful. Robinson gives many many pages of notes, and then tests you on obscure subjects that are not in the notes. Test = essay format and those who were not especially good writers did poorly. Graduate research methods. She managed to make this interesting for me. Great sense of humor, laughs at herself, tells funny stories, yes uses a lot of powerpoint but breaks it up with anecdotes and questions. Good in-class activities to apply dry textbook stuff. I happened to really like her. She clearly explains everything, and though there are a lot of notes to study for her exams,the questions are pretty broad. Her exams have almost nothing in common with the notes she gives on blackboard. For instance Her final exam was cummulative and had ten short answer/essay questions on info. we only touched upon in class. She's a great professor, a little intimidating but very entertaining. As long as you go to every class you'll be fine. Exams come from notes and the book helps reinforce everything.
