Amazing professor. His class is a must-take if you are passionate about finance. You will learn to understand financial concepts very intuitively, rather than just be forced to memorise them. An incredibly easy professor if you're willing to study for more than five minutes out of class, but expect to fall asleep in his lectures. Absolutely zero ability to captivate students and I essentially had to teach myself the course before exams. His course is extremely challenging but highly rewarding. He is a very good lecturer and it is important to remember that he does his grades based off of rank. If you did poorly, don't panic, everyone else did too. I ended the class with a raw grade of a 68 I believe and got an A- because of my rank. Hands down the best teacher I've had in college. Super knowledgeable and knows what he's talking about. Always responsive even when he's traveling. I like that he uses attendance as a way to make us read the news and comment on what's happening every week. He actively wants you to fail the class, he made the second test harder simply because "too many people got As last test". There are no study guides or any material you can study to prepare for tests. The instructor not only talked about investing, but also incorporated the current investment context to help explain the class, which was my favorite part! I enjoyed this lecture. There is not much homework in this class. This class will truly challenge you. 2 things 30% Midterm which is take home and 40% final make up ur grade. The tests are extremely challenging in the sense that he takes what you learned and ask you to calculate things based off you intuition. The class being ranked however really helps. This course is exceptionally tough, focusing mainly on exams. Midterms make up 30%, finals 40%, without a grading curve. Emphasis is on computational questions, without points for steps. Grades are base on ranking but still very challenging. Avoid this class!Fina3303 2023-12-12 22:36:31 +0000 UTC
