Professor Nwogwugwu is really really amazing! He's so kind & caring, & genuinely wants us to grow & become better speakers. The class wasnt that hard necessarily, & Professor makes it enjoyable. Despite being at 9:50am I still really enjoy this class & look forward to it during the week. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE HIS CLASS EVEN IF ITS NOT REQUIRED.COMM1113 2026-02-10 16:01:40 +0000 UTC
He was a loving professor who wanted the best for us.COMM1112 2025-03-23 01:54:38 +0000 UTC
Great professor and classes are super fun and engaging, but attendance is optional. Grades for speeches are mostly based on how well you can memorize the information and convey it clearly. Lots of work with speeches/interviews every other week with assignments, and journal entry's added to the mix. Wish he was clearer with grading.COMM1113 2025-12-14 15:59:56 +0000 UTC
honestly this class was easy, but i respected daniel as a professor. this was his first year at northeastern, so i believe he will evolve into the dedicated professors northeastern cultivates with time. his lectures were humorous, he did not grade speeches hard and was accommodating when i had to miss class for dr. appointments.COMM1112 2024-08-22 21:05:53 +0000 UTC
Super easy and understandable lectures. The speeches that you have to perform will drive you nuts, it's super stressful to be memorizing all of the details that you prepare for. You will be worried basically throughout all of the speeches. Even the job interviews, it will literally fear you. The whole class is basically fear of your grade.COMM1113 2025-10-14 15:49:46 +0000 UTC
he was a humorous instructor and had interesting personal experiences , he didn't create a syllabus until three weeks into the session. After then, he did not follow the syllabus. He would point out errors in our work during grading, but he never instructed us to complete the task in a certain manner in the assignment instructions they were vague.COMM1112 2024-05-03 12:28:04 +0000 UTC
I would definitely say take this over the summer (before fall of freshman year) or summer (after freshman year). Very light class compared to the other presentation requirement classes. I heard public speaking online is very light as well. Persuasion and Rhetoric has three exams, so don't do that. There's five speeches in this class.COMM1113 2025-10-07 19:40:27 +0000 UTC
His classes were common sense, boring lectures, except on speech days. We only had 4 speeches, so every other day was a lecture. He posts speech assignments very late, sometimes the day before they are due, and the due dates didn't match up at ALL with the syllabus. However, very easy to do well and you only really need to attend on speech days.COMM1112 2024-04-17 13:45:42 +0000 UTC
The class was pretty easy overall. He's super nice and the assignments aren't hard at all. The only frustrating part was that he posted assignments really close to the due date or didn't clearly say when they were due, which made it a little stressful. There are 4 individual speeches, one group speech, a mock job interview, and a final project.COMM1113 2025-04-11 02:06:10 +0000 UTC
