My dialogue with Professor Sullivan was incredible. Claims that he "targeted" students are absurd and flat-out false. Those saying it were the same disruptive people making life miserable for everyone. He called out their nonsense, and rightfully so. His teaching and leadership made the experience unforgettable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!INTL4944 2024-11-21 16:52:28 +0000 UTC
Gives no feedback on essays, does not empathize with students and is a harsh grader. He provides too much of his opinions that barely allow a student to craft their own. He has favorites. Poor judgment on responsibility. He is the program director for the Balkans dialogue. From experience, do not go on the Balkans dialogue it's a waste of money.POLS4938 2024-10-30 05:18:21 +0000 UTC
Favorite professor at Northeastern, hands down. Denis is caring, funny, and has tremendous character. Teaches a complicated, often sensitive subject with passion and professionalism. Can't recommend him enough.INTL2200 2024-09-16 15:04:28 +0000 UTC
Professor Sullivan's one of the best professors i've taken at Northeastern. He is extremely knowledgable and treats his students with a lot of respect. He's a really chill and approachable guy and the class is not stressful at all. I learned a lot from him and always looked forward to his class. Assignments were pretty easy and he doesn't cold callPOL3465 2022-12-02 15:33:05 +0000 UTC
Just like the rest of the PoliSci department the biased opinions keep flowing in the Sullivan's class. As someone with the minority political views in this class I could not wait for the semester to be over; it really gets tiresome when he constantly makes condescending comments. Work was meh, don't need to read the ME book if you print out his PP.POLA3480 2018-06-04 13:47:04 +0000 UTC
Great man.POLS1101 2014-08-29 08:03:11 +0000 UTC
Professor Sullivan sums up what is wrong with higher education in this country. You want to have contrarian opinion? Fine. But you have a responsibility to show some restraint around your students. The school has told him to tone it down in recent years.POL 2014-08-14 10:17:41 +0000 UTC
He is such a wonderful professor who is very passionate towards the Arab Israeli conflict take him you wont regretPOLSPOLS 2012-12-01 13:07:22 +0000 UTC
I took more than one class with him. They all seemed interesting although I disagree with him on many of his views. A great person.POLS3470 2012-04-24 20:54:19 +0000 UTC
Biased professor, rude, huge ego, doesn't care about his students. Hey Sullivan, it's called teaching not shoving your views down our throats. Thankfully last semester was my last time taking his classesINTL1000 2011-09-28 02:04:34 +0000 UTC
If you are planning on going to Egypt with him, think twice. It can mess up your GPA in one month.ARAS149 2011-01-27 10:05:52 +0000 UTC
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL class and teacher. Extremely full of himself. Lectures consist of him bragging about who he's met and where he's been. Forces opinions on the class. More work than I've ever had for senior level courses. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!INTL1160 2009-12-10 14:11:24 +0000 UTC
This professor is horrible. not clear. he is not a good teacher. he is not helpful. He does not give advice or support students. bad professorPOL1800 2008-04-29 22:16:04 +0000 UTC
He's a good guy, very down to earth and especially helpful as almost an advisor- when you talk to him during office hours, he's very one-on-one and he wants to help. His lectures get too caught up in names and dates instead of the themes and connections, but if you're into memorization, he's good. Very knowledgable and witty.IAF151 2007-12-01 11:13:30 +0000 UTC
Arab-Israeli Conflict. He is down-to-earth and entertaining, which helps him connect with his class. Extremely knowledgeable on the subject. Easy and fair grader, but good amount of work. Keep up with it. If you read the text you'll do fine. The simulation at the end is interesting and not hard at all. Participate and you'll do even better.POLU470 2007-04-05 10:16:53 +0000 UTC
