Dylan clearly cares about the topics he teaches but his class was not challenging by any means. There were two exams, a presentation, and one paper--all were graded extremely leniently. He attempts to give feedback but it is sometimes lacking in substance. Nice guy, not the best teacher.POLS1155 2018-11-23 20:01:43 +0000 UTC
Took him for intro to Intl Relations last semester. He's a really tough grader and there is a lot of work for the papers. He's accessible in office hours but has very high expectations and criticism isnt always constructive or helpful. You'll learn a lot though if you can keep up with him.POLS1160 2018-04-05 14:25:28 +0000 UTC
I took Professor Maguire's International Relations in my freshman year and I wouldn't regret it at all. Sure, theres a lot of reading and he may be a sort of tough grader, but what I learned in his class was absolute superb. I'd never learn what I learned from one class than in any other class I took. This was my first political science class.POLS1160 2017-10-17 12:09:26 +0000 UTC
