canvas is difficult to navigate even after a month of classes , insufficient feedback given with multiple assignments due one after the other(when u go to ask he just says you didn't write the answer he wanted - ta checks the exams),very very disorganised, the A in this class is set a 95 which is very high even the no of assignments and submissions.INTB2205 2026-02-12 21:24:17 +0000 UTC
Ignore all these low reviews from the 1000 level international business class. Gaston is a professor that will be appreciated by upperclassmen who are willing to put in the work. He is one of the best lecturers I've ever experienced. He has a lot of homework, but the readings are valuable and you will greatly appreciate the knowledge gained.STRT4501 2025-03-25 22:30:38 +0000 UTC
Overall a great prof. HW assignments before each class can get tedious sometimes but provides good routine for students and they're generally pretty useful. Lots of discussion in class. No final, instead a presentation and a long final memo paper group project. A couple debates over course of semester. Tests are reasonable! Prof's very experienced.INTB1209 2025-01-14 21:15:41 +0000 UTC
My favorite professor of my entire NEU experience. His enthusiasm is incredible. There is a significant amount of prep work for each class; however, every aspect of this work feels intentional. Northeastern is lucky to have Gaston as a professor.4501 2024-05-21 19:16:52 +0000 UTC
i dont understand why anyone would rate him well, literally several weeks in and i can't stand him, he takes our readings and uses it on our slides to READ OFF it, still messes content up, he doesn't let any of us use any devices yet expects us to look things up when we don't understand it in the middle of class and he's so disorganized.INTB2205 2026-01-13 03:00:11 +0000 UTC
Wonderful professor. Reasonable workload for a capstone class, lectures were always energetic and easy to pay attention to. Grading was fair (has resubmit policy) and assignments were always laid out very clearly/organized on canvas. Professor de los Reyes is awesome, if you come to class and stay up to date with homework you'll do great.STRT4501 2024-12-13 02:43:02 +0000 UTC
More work was assigned than necessary; prep work for every class can take up to 4 hours. Huge group project and a final, both completely unreasonable. Only take this class if you're an overachiever who is bordering on masochism. It is possible to get an A, but it is extremely unpleasant. He is a good person but this shouldn't be a level 1000 class.INTB1209 2025-01-06 03:11:43 +0000 UTC
A good professor who definitely knew what he was talking about, but very disorganized. His canvas page was so difficult to navigate and when asked why there were such little instructions on projects, he wouldn't give clear answers and told us that he is 'preparing us for the uncertainty we would have to deal with in the business world'.INTB2205 2025-11-25 20:24:47 +0000 UTC
One of those teachers that makes an easy class hard for no reason Take someone elseSTRT4501 2024-08-05 19:02:28 +0000 UTC
This professor is amazing—he provides a well rounded view of international business with somewhat of a twist of philosophy. He is brilliant, so he will challenge you when you answer a question or respond, but this is only to help you. Yes, there is a bit of work, but I found it incredibly worthwhile and something that I still use a year later.INTB1209 2024-12-11 23:19:07 +0000 UTC
prof GdlR is so fire. their course plan and syllabus are detailed so you're never really lost in the class. since i took them during the summer sem, there was quite a bit of work to do (around 3 hrs every day + papers, presentations, tests) but he's super receptive to feedback and helped us thru our workload. such a good STRT prof!STRT4501 2024-06-23 16:51:04 +0000 UTC
Class is very work-heavy and gets stressful with the amount of time you need to dedicate to the class. However, he's a really nice professor who is super passionate about what he teaches, and he wants you to succeed. Don't expect to get grades back in a reasonable time, either.INTB1209 2024-12-09 23:54:56 +0000 UTC
He is a nice teacher but he is very disorganized and never clear with his directions at all. The midterm was not hard (multiple choice) but the projects at the end of the year were barely discussed with little time. Pretty much homework every night and some of the readings are useless. Lectures are not helpful but need to participate in class.INTB1209 2024-11-25 16:19:44 +0000 UTC
he was a nice professor, but for an elective class, he did too much homework and did not think about other responsibilities that students had. He's pretty understanding. Directions were never clear, lectures were not helpful, and made this class stressful when it wasn't supposed to be.INTB1209 2024-11-15 21:43:10 +0000 UTC
Passionate and enthusiastic professor. Had consistent homework every night which was nice but had disorganized debates and midterm. Lectures were not helpful but attendance was mandatory and you need to participate.INTB1209 2024-11-10 19:46:32 +0000 UTC
