Great professor!INTB2206 2026-02-20 19:47:52 +0000 UTC
Awesome professor at Northeastern. Brought in very high profile guest speakers to class. She cold calls and is literally RUTHless, I loved it. Anyone who has her is lucky. Just put in a decent amount of effort in assignments and participate (Easy A).INTB4983 2025-04-02 14:48:10 +0000 UTC
Graded heavily on groupwork and very few assignments. Doesn't teach much in class, mostly info is from readings (A LOT). Makes some racially questionable comments and "cold calls" students for participation (graded heavily). Cheat sheet allowed on exams too. The class wasn't super difficult, but there are just so few opportunities to earn points.INTB2206 2025-12-11 05:00:40 +0000 UTC
I'm not sure why Prof Aguilera has these negative reviews, she always provided good feedback to all groups, and yes participation matters for your grade but if you do the reading you'll be fine. She's caring for her students, and maybe she's changed since others had her. I enjoyed her emerging markets class and learned a lot.INTB2206 2025-11-25 14:27:55 +0000 UTC
Would highly recommend taking this course! Professor was super knowledgeable and kind.INTB2206 2025-11-17 15:57:11 +0000 UTC
A lot of home work. Pop quizzes. One 30 minute long group presentation during the semester. She was okay.INTB2206 2024-12-30 12:51:48 +0000 UTC
Her pop quizzes suck and the grading can be harsh, but she's really nice and an interesting and reputable person to learn from. In general, I don't think a lot of her low ratings are warranted and its not too hard to succeed in her class.INTB2206 2024-12-05 03:05:17 +0000 UTC
This class would've been fine without the pop quizzes and the professor's sometimes unfair standards. Barely enough time was given to do the pop quizzes, and she randomly chose 2 people from each group to present, but some groups were allowed to have everyone present. She's clearly knowledgable in the subject but sometimes it comes off as bragging.INTB2206 2024-12-03 23:18:10 +0000 UTC
You can do all your work in this class and still perform badly. The pop quizzes are killer, with less than thirty seconds to answer a question (no going back). Plus she grills you mid-presentation and made racist comments. The cases we read were fine and she is knowledgeable but her grading is harsh (especially on participation). Do not take her!INTB2206 2024-11-22 19:00:08 +0000 UTC
Very knowledgeable but is somewhat disorganized and harshly grades only a few assignments. This course isnt super hard but its hard to get a good grade if you dont consistently do well.INTB2206 2024-11-22 02:41:07 +0000 UTC
Ruth is one of the best professors at Northeastern. She is funny and straightforward, which is rare these days, with professors reading slides and calling it a day. The cases we used in class were insightful and applied to the real world. Don't be mad someone with a personality is teaching you...INTB2206 2024-11-21 15:56:36 +0000 UTC
This woman is a cartoon villain akin to the likes of the Joker. Timed pop quizzes 30 seconds per question or less (you can't go back). Interrupts group presentations all the time, makes racist micro-aggressive comments, grades participation out of 3 (never gives 3s), and made the first assignment due before the class even started. Trust me, AVOID.INTB2206 2024-11-20 15:38:21 +0000 UTC
I am currently taking the course. She is very forward(not in a good way) and definitely makes some questionable comments towards students. She lacks general respect towards her students: interrupting during presentations to tell groups they need to hurry up and telling other students that a student presenting is "bs-ing".INTB2206 2024-11-15 19:40:25 +0000 UTC
The worst Professor I have ever had. She made comments to students that were inappropriate/racist. The work she assigned was inconsistent between students. Her pop quizzes often had typos. She made extremely disrespectful comments to my group project team and me when we approached her with a question. I would avoid her at all costs.INTB2206 2024-08-09 01:31:16 +0000 UTC
