Gloria is definitely a researcher at heart. Be prepared to know your case studies inside and out, read class materials ahead for lectures and questions. I think she is a professional researcher rather than teaching being her strong point. I took her class and found if you are not a marketing research person her content is difficult to grasp. Class structure is okay with 3 cases and a project. However, she is one of the worst prof. I have had at NU. The cases don't help. We spend over half the class just writing what happened in the case on the board. She is very condescending to certain students and comes off as unfair and biased in grading and during discussions. Excellent class, must take it. She teaches very well and her experience shows. Although at times she seems to get biased towards certain students and can grade strictly. She teached very well and does complete justice to the course. If you're wondering whether to take it or not, TAKE IT. You won't regret cos you'll come out learning a lot. She uses good case, good practical examples and doesnt demand for too much work. Worth it.MKTG214 2008-03-11 17:21:54 +0000 UTC
