Honestly, Sean wasn't a horrible professor. I actually enjoyed how the lectures were discussion based as I felt it allowed me to understand the material better. Group project was a massive portion of the grade so if you don't get a good grade your kind of screwed. Also, participation/attended is what determines you from getting a B to an A.MKTG2201 2025-12-16 21:30:29 +0000 UTC
Grades attendance, quizzes are take home but on lockdown with the camera on. HUGE emphasis on participation and weighed heavier than other courses but he's really nice.MKTG2209 2025-12-04 16:34:20 +0000 UTC
Sean is a great professor. He wanted all of his students to succeed but you have to put in the work. He cares a lot about his students & really cares about the learning process & their development. We learned about team effectiveness and used it during our group projects which enabled the groups to work more efficiently and productively.MRKG2219 2022-01-03 21:56:09 +0000 UTC
Such a kind professor. He really helped me when I was struggling and was always encouraging and understanding. Love him.MTKTG2209 2021-07-12 15:29:36 +0000 UTC
I had the pleasure of having Sean for two semesters. He was an amazing prof! Participation is crucial in order to get an A and he can be a tough grader at times. But with that said he makes the classes fun and he's very knowledgeable in his field. He's always around to meet outside of class and I highly recommend meeting him to pick his brain!MKTG3301 2021-01-06 02:51:49 +0000 UTC
Actually awful does not care about what you think literally subtracted points from tests because he thought our class did too well.MKTG2201 2025-11-30 21:35:29 +0000 UTC
he definitely knows what he is talking about and participation ABSOLUTELY matters, however if you are not participating from the first class you won't get called on no matter how much you raise your hand. If you don't have the answer for a question he might loudly tell you to see him in after class, he did it to 3 students in my section.MKTG2209 2025-11-19 13:54:35 +0000 UTC
Sean is a great professor. He wanted all of his students to succeed but you have to put in the work. The course is extremely reading heavy so make sure that you come prepared for class. The class is discussion based with a short lecture at the end so it's important to have points ready to share from the reading. Also, the USE PEER TUTORING resourceMRKG2219 2022-01-03 21:31:19 +0000 UTC
He's a top-notch discussion facilitator and genuinely cares about students' learning. Extremely knowledgeable and shows great enthusiasm for the material. Reasonable workload: 4 written assignments, 1 final project and discussion prep. I don't normally enjoy participation-heavy courses, but I found his to be a uniquely positive experience.MKTG3301 2021-01-04 18:54:06 +0000 UTC
Sean is the nicest Professor ive ever had. He is so much fun whoever is complaining was probably scared to step out of their comfort zone and participate. Take this class it will make your day hes awesome. Group project was annoying but low effort with about an hour of commitment every week. He is truly a kind and inspiring personMKTG2201 2025-11-13 19:28:46 +0000 UTC
The discussion-based and mandatory participation style of the class may seem intimidating at first, and I even considered dropping the class early on myself, but if you have any ounce of courage in you, or have any desire to truly learn (and you should for the price you pay for NEU), then it would be in your best interest to stay in this class.MKTG2209 2025-05-13 02:01:09 +0000 UTC
I usually don't participate, but Sean encourages it and makes it easy to do. Very recommendable if you want to actually learn about marketing.MKTG3301 2020-04-21 14:59:46 +0000 UTC
God this guy blows. Did very well in his bike simulator, this guy will do whatever he can to take points off your grade. guy blowsMKTG2201 2025-11-13 19:04:48 +0000 UTC
Professor Gallagher is a great marketing teacher with extensive real-world experience. His insights make concepts easy to understand and bridge the gap between the abstract and concrete. Class participation helps you internalize the material. I highly recommend him if you want practical, engaging, and entertaining lessons.MKTG2209 2025-05-10 18:35:12 +0000 UTC
I had him for an 8am last semester and just ran into him again outside Wollys today. What an absolute goat. Super caring and funny. Participating that much at 8am is a little rough, just get yourself a coffee and participate early in the class and you'll be set. You have to get lucky with getting a good group but he is able to help a lot if needed!MKTG2201 2025-10-02 19:12:38 +0000 UTC
