Don't take BUSN1101. It's not required. Unless you're someone who is interested in creating your own product/startup don't take this class. Professor Elias is a nice guy but he is a pessimist. Majority of class lecture is spent watching other people's presentations/ debates, so be prepared to have a lot of free time during class. 3 tests worth 15% each consisting of 30-45 MC, but the lowest one usually gets dropped. I love Professor Elias as a person but I don't think I learned anything in this class. We did have a lot of interesting discussions but they were often unrelated to the material. He is a great guy ignore any bad reviews. There is quite a bit of homework but its really easy and the class was a easy A as long as you did all of the work. He has pop quizzes once in a while but they are super easy. Very invested and caring professor, class was not mandatory towards the business curriculum but I still thought it was interesting to take. Semester starts with a few pop quizzes and longer busy work assignments but then gets very manageable though the semester. He's not the worse professor and definitely better than some of the other INTB 1203 professors. He doesn't give out that much work. And the work he does give out is pretty easy. I don't think I learned anything in this course. The professor never expanded on any of the news article readings, all of which did not explain how these factors could impact business. He is an amazing professor that really cares about his students and treats them like equals. He wants you to learn as much as you can in his class and you can see that in every discussion. I enjoyed the content of this class, but the professor did not do a good job of teaching it. Very kind person. lectures generally were fine, though he was rambly, but rather than focusing on lectures we had pointless debates.
