Tough grader on busy-work assignments. Will not explain why he gave you a certain grade and is not open to student suggestions. Makes an easy class a difficult A. Can't pronounce a lot of students' names correctlyBUSN1101 2022-02-15 21:45:32 +0000 UTC
He is too strict with his abstract theories and he cannot teach you how to adapt it in real life. He is a good guys but he is not a good teacher. He tried to understand his students but he cannot. Once, my classmate asked him to tell us the real useful case study from his own experience. But he told us that we can find in the books.HR6200 2016-07-12 03:52:40 +0000 UTC
I did not enjoy this class1103 2015-04-16 14:32:32 +0000 UTC
Do not take this class, by far the worst I have ever taken. The course only covers strategic mgmt at the shallowest of levels and forget about analysis. The shallower the analysis the better. He is a very nice guy, but teaches at a high school level. Homework completely uncorrelated to the the lectures and grading is arbitrary at best.MGMTE5000 2014-04-03 14:54:53 +0000 UTC
Great guy who is very understanding.SUSBUS 2013-06-05 10:22:22 +0000 UTC
I don't know why everyone gave him bad ratings he is an awesome teacher. He knows what he's talking about and never makes people feel dumb when they get the wrong answer. He explains assignments if you actually pay attention, and if you scan through the case studies you'll be good. nicest guy everSTR401 2010-06-17 01:06:30 +0000 UTC
HE IS A NICE GUY, BUT HE IS NOT CLEAR ON THE ASSIGNMENTS HE GIVES AND THE CLASS IS VERY BORING. ALSO HE DOESN'T RESPOND TO EMAILS SOMETIMES OR HE TAKES UP TO A WEEK TO REPLY BACK...MY OPINION, DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES...AD1420 2009-12-14 15:47:06 +0000 UTC
Nice guy and means well but very unclear when it comes to assigned cases and what he is looking for. Class can get boring and textbook is useless. How to do well: 1)Go to class 2) Raise your hand at least once or twice per class. 3) Go to office hours for more clarification on cases.MGT501 2008-09-17 12:40:51 +0000 UTC
Great guy, not good to transmit his knowledge, great class discussions and materialMGT510 2008-04-18 01:08:49 +0000 UTC
He is very hard and doesnt make himself clear on assingments!MGT 2004-10-08 07:46:48 +0000 UTC
Not a great teacher. A ton of your grade is dependent on group projects, and the classwork is more busywork than anything (Shark Tank, other meaningless stuff like that). It just wasn't a structured class IMO. Frequently messes up students' names after being corrected many times. Office hours don't help at all, he won't help you improve.BUSN1101 2022-02-14 04:38:53 +0000 UTC
He's a kind person but oftentimes I found the course slow. Participation matters a lot in this course so make an active effort to participate at least once every class. There's quite a bit of written assignments throughout the semester which are manageable but often times you would get 80s on these written assignments.BUSN1101 2021-12-15 01:55:05 +0000 UTC
He is a really tough grader on assignments that should be simple and is unclear about why he takes off points. Will make it obvious if he doesn't like you in your grades. Won't pronounce many students' names correctly. Not very understanding at all but I ended up with an A so oh wellBUSN1101 2021-12-07 17:50:04 +0000 UTC
Joe is a great person, he gives feedback when needed and wants to see his students succeed. He makes sure each person knows their strengths and how to improve on their weaknesses. However, his lessons were simple and I did not learn much. The homework assignments were more challenging, but the course was not too difficult overall.BUSN1101 2021-12-03 20:52:43 +0000 UTC
I was on the fence about how to rate this professor. On one hand he was incredibly caring and accommodating. He gave solid feedback on any assignment. However, the lessons were always a bit lacking. I don't feel like I learned a lot in the class. He is a great person, but not the best teacher.BUSN1101 2019-11-23 04:03:43 +0000 UTC
