I am not good at organic chemistry, but she made the class a lot easier to understand! Highly recommend!CHEM2313 2026-01-08 13:40:26 +0000 UTC
I am not great at orgo but matthews pushed me to think about these topic from a new perspective. The white board practice days are so helpful and test content is similar to things done in class. Test all multiple choice, some homework. Compelling and respected professor.CHEM2311 2025-12-04 17:50:24 +0000 UTC
Professor Mathews is AMAZING! She somehow finds a way to explain complex topics more easily. She makes videos too, which you can go back and watch. Her exams are very fair, and she does practice problems in class. If you put in the time, do the homework, and don't skip class, obtaining an A/B is feasible.ORGO1AND2 2025-04-29 02:35:31 +0000 UTC
Would not recommend. The teaching style made the material hard to understand, and explanations were unclear. Concepts weren't broken down well. Also, several overly positive reviews appeared before the semester ended—LIKE TWO ON MARCH 19 AND 21, 2025—which seems very suspicious and raises doubts about the class's true quality.CHEM2312 2025-03-24 01:49:39 +0000 UTC
Take her....The only people who don't like her are the ones that didn't study or procrastinated a lot.2311 2024-12-10 19:29:17 +0000 UTC
Mathews was a pretty good professor. Her outlook on lecture was to review the textbook portion that we were supposed to have already read before class. This teaching style wasn't great for me because I don't learn well from textbooks. Her lectures review what you should know but don't go deep enough for her exams. Overall, decent class.ORGO1 2024-04-27 21:14:39 +0000 UTC
She will treat you nice and actually help you on tests if you show up to class and ask questions. her tests and such are difficult but i made an A, just put in the work.CHEM2313 2026-01-07 00:28:20 +0000 UTC
She is the best professor at Northeastern. If you want to understand orgo 2 take this class.CHEM2311 2025-11-20 06:37:29 +0000 UTC
She is a great teacher. She clearly outlines what's on the test, and sometimes, she even gives free answers during the exam. She is very nice, but make sure you avoid asking questions like "change my grade" cause she will do the complete opposite (I didn't do it, lol). But yeah, take her, she's great.ORGO1AND2 2025-04-27 20:20:18 +0000 UTC
This is a knowledgeable and amazing professor. Not only is she super smart but she can communicate. she gives you all the necessary materials to do well in her class. love herCHEM2312 2025-03-19 15:23:32 +0000 UTC
I learned a lot. Great teacher.2311 2014-12-09 14:09:49 +0000 UTC
I'm 2 days into Orgo 2 with Brian Fulton, and I already miss Jude. She is an excellent lecturer, especially considering the difficult concepts covered in Orgo. She very clearly says what will be on exams, and stars those topics in her slides so you can go back while studying. However, make sure you do the textbook problems if you want a good grade.ORGO1 2023-05-09 14:06:07 +0000 UTC
Jude is a good lecturer and wants you to do well, but she can have a really bad attitude and be initimidating ESPECIALLY during exams. The mcq tests are meant to trick you and have no partial credit. Don't take her unless you had her for ORGO I or want to put in hours of work every day to do well.CHEM2313 2025-12-17 14:41:58 +0000 UTC
She is amazing! She has no bs kinda thing and she grades very fairly.CHEM2311 2025-10-20 21:07:55 +0000 UTC
Unprofessional during office hours. I have witnessed her scream at a student for asking a valid question. You should still take the course with her because as awful as her personality is, she makes the material digestible & an A is possible with hard work (you don't need to put in 20 hours a week like she claims, she needs to chill & just retire)ORGO1AND2 2025-03-31 18:17:51 +0000 UTC
