It's an online course but had a good amount of interactive activities. There were assignments every day, so felt a bit overwhelmed but got used to it as the semester goes by. I feel I learned a lot and feel good that I can handle a very basic Japanese conversations now.JPNS1101 2025-12-16 10:35:30 +0000 UTC
Prof. Tsuji's class is a bit challenging, but I feel I learned a lot in the class, and my Japanese has improved in this semester. It's definitely not an easy A class, but overall I enjoyed studying with Prof. Tsuji.JPNS2102 2024-12-07 19:51:19 +0000 UTC
I took this class asynchronously and have some experience with the language, had I not had any experience with the language and taken this as proper Japanese 1 I genuinely believe I would have failed the class, the instructions were so confusing, the modules were unorganized and we had 2-3 assignments due perday monday to friday even during finalsJPNS1101 2024-12-05 05:54:15 +0000 UTC

Tsuji-sensei is a tough but fair grader. I feel I got a grade that I deserve and learned a lot. A lot of assignments, though.....JPNS1101 2024-05-04 14:52:49 +0000 UTC
Way too much homework. There was a homework due almost every single day. She is a nice lady but does assign a lot of homework. She is a tough grader as well.JPNS1101 2024-04-27 02:28:09 +0000 UTC
Tsuji sensei is a very nice and fair person. My class only met once a week so there was a lot of homework, basically a new assignment every day. This class requires a lot of heavy vocab memorization and general practicing/studying. If you are genuinely interested in language learning or Japanese culture, then you will probably like this class.JPNS1101 2021-04-12 17:46:26 +0000 UTC
Tsuji sensei is a very helpful professor, and a nice person! She grades hard, but still able to get a good grade if you pay attention to her classes. Quite a lot homework though.JPNS1101 2018-12-14 06:58:00 +0000 UTC
