I love love love Professor Ziane, and if you have the opportunity to take her class you should. She is funny, tells us stories about her life, and what we learn in class in interesting. Madame Ziane is honestly the best professor I have ever had. She is so sweet and caring. In her lectures she will speak in french the entire time and will make sure you are understanding her. Such an amazing woman! I had Advanced French 1 with her and at first the class material seemed very daunting, but after a few lectures, there were no more worries. She loves to talk about stories in class which was such a refreshing break from regular class work, and helped me learn more French too. I've taken two classes with Madame Ziane, and I enjoyed them so much I signed up for her dialogue this summer! She's very conversational, and she makes class interesting. Ziane is probably one of the best professors in neu. She loves teaching, always a smile on her face, attendance mandatory, watch some movies in class, if you do the homework yourself you will do well in the exam cuz its pretty much the same exercises. 302 is a much needed review for me, but she goes through the material at a good pace. She really helps with speaking skills but if you are talking about culture, you can add English. The class is based on discussion and oral assignments but it helps with learning spoken French. Let me just say I walked into this class having a hard time with languages but if you let her know your struggling she'll do everything she can to help. She's funny and super nice.
