Dr. Brown is incredibly passionate about civil rights and the many problems in Western society and the class challenges thinking on several topics that plague modern civilization. She cancels class relatively often and uses student presentations or discussions to structure classes. Dr. Brown is by far my favorite professor I've taken a class with at Northeastern. She is incredibly knowledgeable, caring and funny! She fosters an electric and fun class environment where you actually look forward to going to class because you feel like you're friends with everyone there. Plus great insights and readings!
