She is not a bad professor. Quite a bit of work and YOU MUST go to class and pay attention. Tests are relatively ok and a lot around concepts and key terms. 1 essays and 3 news reports which are ok if you know exactly what you are saying. She's nice and passionate but normal, elaborate-off-the-slides teacher. She's a tough grader on papers, so try to discover what she wants early on. The tests aren't hard if you study. Textbook isn't necessary, but does help. Maria is super sweet. She is kinda shy and quirky but that makes her so lovable. While are there a ton of readings assigned she reviews the key points in class so you can get by skimming.
