Dr. G is passionate about bio and wants his students to succeed. Lectures are clear, but can drag on at times. They are recorded, but still best to attend class. Willing to answer questions during lecture and in OH. Exams are all MCQ, straightforward if you study using the slides and Canvas quizzes. ONE OF THE BEST PROF IVE HAD He genuinely cares for his students' wellbeing + learning. Patiently answers EVERY question to his best ability. Also, funny and provides TONS of resources, and LOTS of office hours. His lectures are also very detailed, and he provides examples and practice problems. Class isn't hard so long as you attend class and take some notes. I found the beginning two units more disorganized in terms of content (lectures would meander around a lot) but the latter two units became a lot more coherent. Super sweet prof, easy class. If you pay attention in class you will be just fine, and studying will propel you from B to A level. Dr. Grabiner is a great professor, he always makes himself available to student questions, his lectures a well done and he posts videos afterwards. He is clearly passionate about biology and does a great job teaching it. The class isn't too difficult either, if you study you will do good. Dr.G is a great lecturer and does a good job of breaking down complex concepts. This class is not lecture-heavy and is more of a Socratic seminar. Best bio professor out there. Clear lectures, practice problems, and in-class exam review. Attendance is not mandatory and all lectures are recorded. As long as you keep up and study you'll get an A. Grabiner is a great professor who gets the class involved in discussion about the papers. The inquiries section I took with him is on the ubiquitin proteasome pathway. Great professor; I wish he taught higher-level Bio classes so I could take another class with him. Great mix of keeping lectures interesting without going off topic, and he is very accessible during office hours. Lectures are entirely recorded and attendance is not graded.
