I've never had a more disorganized and confusing professor that had such high exceptions for students. The grading system is awful (he makes you pick the grade you will get and if you dont meet the expectations, your grade drops. Late to classes, late to finish the classes, late or doesn't respond to emails at all, unclear grading criteria, not using time efficiently; you have to make up with extra videos he posts (which is also late). Professor Garvey has a lot of knowledge in his field. However, with a class like MKTG 2602 where there are many different skill levels, he was not able to simplify his teachings to a beginner's level. He was not able to actually assign or teach anything and used relative grading (a 90-98% could be a B- given the right conditions). He did not plan out the course at all and even had to give students an option to take a B+ and just stop doing work if they wanted to because every student had too high a grade to do relative grading correctly.MKTG2602 2022-12-02 17:30:32 +0000 UTC
