The lectures in class made absolutely no sense and she did not go in order of the textbook that she claimed we needed to read. The reading tests were not as often as she said and I am pretty sure half of them did not even end up in our grading. The midterms on the syllabus were also not weighted the same at the end.ECON1115 2025-06-16 02:35:59 +0000 UTC
If you show up and write coherently it's an easy A.ECON1260 2025-05-18 09:09:46 +0000 UTC
She is an amazing professor if you want to actually learn the material and do not care about your grade. Her tests are quite difficult and she is the most disorganized person ever. I had gotten almost all 95+ on everything and for some reason i got a B in the class. I emailed her about it repeatedly and she has still ignored me.ECON2315 2025-01-09 16:22:21 +0000 UTC
Class was listed as an in person class, however has made it strictly online. Has cancelled multiple classes without notice. Her lectures are all over the place and connect very little with the material that are on the quizzes. She has also blamed the students for the poor grades when in reality its her poor teaching style!ECON7251 2021-11-15 20:24:46 +0000 UTC
Never choose her class, her class has no plan. The content is very confusing. Unless you just want an AEC542 2020-10-08 22:50:30 +0000 UTC
Tests were awful. An entry level macroeconomics class and her questions were like "explain Brexit." If the experts can't agree then how should I know what's going to happen?!ECON1116 2018-01-22 16:34:37 +0000 UTC
Personally I loved this professor, as long as you attend class and go to some office hours and get to know her, you will get an A or A-. She is a very smart women and has taught me the most about economics compared to other professors, I never got bored in class because she did not just read off the slides, she taught.ECON1115 2025-04-30 18:23:02 +0000 UTC
Look at the rating, that should literally tell you everything. She is not uplifting, organized, communicative nor is she a fair teacher. She outright stated that she graded our midterms and finals based off who participated the most in class. Lastly, She notified us of the final exam two days in advance, thank you Nancy.ECON1260 2025-04-13 18:00:05 +0000 UTC
If she says she will do something, and she does not do it right then, she is not going to do it. Not an exaggeration. She would say she would grade something, post something, collect something, then forget every time. She would wait until the day before a scheduled exam to tell us we were not ready yet and reschedule it.ECON2315 2025-01-03 19:40:12 +0000 UTC
Professor Kimelman has a wealth of knowledge about economics. Her lectures are not slide-based; she expects you to understand the material at a deep level and be able to apply concepts introduced in class to new scenarios on tests. Ask questions, read the textbook, pay attention to lectures, and go to office hours. The class is exam-based.ECON1115 2025-04-28 00:08:41 +0000 UTC
Not a good professor. Prepare to participate and prepare to have thick skin. Completely disorganized. Prepare to have emails 5-10 before class saying she is out for the day, yet YOU must go to class and wait for her to send an assignment (40 minutes later into the class without her).ECON1260 2025-04-01 20:24:19 +0000 UTC
Prof. Kimelman is someone experienced in her field and she has a lot of knowledge about the concepts she teaches. It can be a little hard to figure out what's on the tests since they focus on what she teaches and not directly on the textbook. She also takes a while to grade and is a little disorganized but allows test retakes to get your grade up.ECON2315 2024-12-22 14:49:58 +0000 UTC
Terrible. Never take her class. The most disorganized and unordered professor ever. Made everyone pay $100 at the beginning of the semester for access to the textbook and we never ended up getting access due to an error on her part. Never got paid back, she never fixed the problem. No access to lecture or textbook. Rambles in class then tests on itECON1115 2025-04-16 20:44:27 +0000 UTC
I don't know how could a professor never, ever replied any email from students.ECON1260 2025-03-31 00:13:00 +0000 UTC
IF U WANT TO GET TESTED ON THINGS SHE DIDNT TEACH TAKE THIS CLASS. BAD WITH GRADING AND DOESNT PUT ANYTHING IN EXCEPT TEST SO UNCLEAR ON WHAT UR GRADE IS. BORING LECTURES WITH HER JUST TALKING. DOES NOT CURVE AT ALL EVEN WITH HALF THE CLASS FAILING MIDTERM AND RETAKE. SAVE YOURSELFECON2315 2024-11-21 22:51:36 +0000 UTC
