Do not take! Did not give out clear guidelines and graded harshlyCRIM1500 2023-11-02 10:55:43 +0000 UTC
He is not very clear in his grading criteria. You could go through the whole semester and not have any idea what your grade is. Expects long summaries every week of the ridiculous amount of reading that is assigned with no guidelines on how to organize and shape your papers. Lectures are long and boring- a lot of student participation required.CRIM7252 2015-10-15 14:28:04 +0000 UTC
too much reading and weekly summaries tedious. boring to sit through lecturesCJG242 2005-04-09 10:16:08 +0000 UTC
I took Corruption, Integrety and Accountability with him. He gave as a lot of reading homework, but I just didn't do it all because he never quizzed us about it and he summarized the readings in his lectures. His lectures are long, but he really knows what he is talking about. Also asks students for feedback a changes the class according to it.CRIM1500 2018-01-21 20:53:21 +0000 UTC
Passas is a genius and a really sweet guy but the class is a straight lecture, which can get pretty dry. He didn't deal with assignments or grades, nor did he know anything about what the TA was assigning which caused a lot of frustration among students. Assignments were also very vague and the 2 tests we had were extremely difficult.CRIM1500 2016-04-04 09:36:37 +0000 UTC
