I loved having Professor Collins as a professor and I found her classes to be very interesting. I would just be aware of the amount of reading that is required as well as the fact that some of her instructions were not clear when it came to the presentations that we had to complete.CRIM3120 2026-01-26 20:12:50 +0000 UTC
Prof. Collins was amazing and super nice. Going in I didn't expect to learn this much, especially as a non-criminal justice major. But it broadened my perspective for a lot of current issues we have. The course itself was a lot of reading and writing every week based on three books. But you do learn a lot from all of them along with the discussionsCRIM3120 2025-12-18 02:33:54 +0000 UTC
Dr. Collins is a great professor and extremely knowledgeable. The course was a bit disorganized but the actual class content was really good. It's discussion-based through most of the course based on 3 books you read. The class is not hard and is an average amount of writing, the best part is the guest lectures she brings in and her own input.CRIM3120 2024-11-20 19:21:47 +0000 UTC
Dr. Collins is the most amazing professor I've ever had. Attendance is mandatory but the class is so interesting I would never even consider skipping. You have multiple required readings but all the texts are interesting and none read like a textbook. Grades are based on group presentations, discussion posts, and attendance. EC is an option!CRIM3120 2024-01-02 20:11:46 +0000 UTC
Lots of guest speakers (which are super interesting), very smart professor. However, for this class, while she is not a hard grader, there is a lot of work. There are 5 2-3 page papers, a final, and a ton of reading every week. There is also one group discussion you and a few classmates lead. Also unnecessarily rigid and rude to her students.CRIM3120 2023-04-06 19:19:25 +0000 UTC
Dr. Collins is very sweet and I enjoyed the course material, but be warned that there were around 200 pages of reading per week that were required to participate. There were also papers close to ever week that had to be checked by the writing center for credit. The class is not necessarily hard but it is a pretty good amount of work.CRIM3120 2022-12-01 02:44:08 +0000 UTC
