This professor gives you tons of homework and lets you do it in a short time period. His class is boring, and wish everybody could listen to him throughout the semester. Presentations are throughout the semester, tons of work. Good luck if you are going to be in his classMISM2301 2025-04-26 20:57:11 +0000 UTC
Most homework I have ever had. With that being said, he offers a lot of extra credit. He is a very nice guy who is understanding when it comes to late assignments or absences. Grades very hard at the beginning of the semester, but eases up at the end.MIS2301 2022-12-19 02:53:08 +0000 UTC
Give poor feedback and grades assignments very hard. Also provides no leniency in assignment submissions and gives 3-4 assignments per week.MISM1102 2022-10-23 16:27:23 +0000 UTC
Very hard gradingMISM2301 2024-01-16 20:14:31 +0000 UTC
Professor Laughran does not get the credit he deserves. MISM is a notoriously tough class (it isn't just him!). Laughran is tough at grading at the beginning but lightens as the semester continues. At the end of the semester, he drops the lowest case grade, gives up to 4 extra credit points, and drops your lowest homework grade. I would take again!MIS2301 2022-12-11 20:41:39 +0000 UTC
Legit the worst professor ever. Just talks the whole time in one tone and just rambles. If you love doing case studies every night this is the class for you! Oh and he gives a quiz on every chapter of reading!MISM1102 2020-02-07 15:39:31 +0000 UTC
He offers a lot of extra credit that can boost your grade. He is a nice guy and tough grader at the start. I think its the subject rather than the professor. Case study and discussion boards every week. Hated the subject. I learnt nothing. waste of time and money. shouldnt be a requirement.MISM2301 2023-04-22 00:56:49 +0000 UTC
Prof is fair and has been accomodating to COVID. He was kind while I struggled with adjusting to online format, and offers extra credit throughout the course to balance issues people might have. Lectures can be boring, he does cold call, and there are weekly assignments/and quizzes. Just do the work and you will do fine. Tests have good study guideMIS2301 2020-12-14 00:56:01 +0000 UTC
He is really a kind professor and cares about his students. There is a lot of homework in this class but he grades fairly and the extra credit can boost your grade up. I would take him if you are interested in MIS.MISM2301 2022-11-16 18:38:15 +0000 UTC
Honestly one of the worst professors I have had at Northeastern. Lectures are so bland, and he doesn't even try to make them interesting. Give a case study every week and cant even bother to give back individualized feedback (so you don't even know what you did wrong). DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!MISM2301 2021-05-31 19:45:13 +0000 UTC
This class had the most homework of any class I've ever taken in my life. I spent about 6-8 hours in total preparing for each class. If you submit the assignments and tests, it's pretty easy to get a really good grade because he is not a tough grader and lots of extra credit is offered. Still, not worth the time commitment.MISM2301 2021-04-25 16:53:35 +0000 UTC
Assigns a lot of useless cases and quizzes. The field of study generally uselessMISM2301 2020-01-30 23:59:31 +0000 UTC
