NO idea why anyone wouldn't like Laplante... I took him in Spring 2015 for SPNS-1101. Coming from a student who took French in HS, I can honestly say I learned more Spanish in this 1 semester than French in my entire HS career! EXCELLENT teacher - always mentions the spelling differences (etc) by region, & VERY understanding about missed tests, etcSPNS1101 2015-11-18 11:41:47 +0000 UTC
Works a lot with in class participation, doing exercises as a whole class. You get constant homework for almost every class, although it is pretty easy because you do it on the computer. Textbook is also very helpful.SPNS1102 2015-04-16 09:29:47 +0000 UTC
Took Spanish 1 and 2 with him and loved him! He's so nice and eager to help and answer questions. Highly recommend11012 2014-11-19 15:44:19 +0000 UTC
This guy takes this 101 class way too seriously Doesn't seem like a bad teacher, but if you're looking for an easy A with a lenient teacher look elsewhere.SPN101 2014-09-04 14:01:06 +0000 UTC
Great professor. Really cares about his students, really wants us to do well. Will always be there to help you at any time. His tests are super easy. He explains things really well. Do NOT miss class, or you will be seriously behind. Just bring your book, take notes, and pay attention. Plus there was never much hw.SPNS1N2 2012-12-24 22:37:32 +0000 UTC
The class was really easy. He explained things well, but does call on everyone every class (but it's easy). Tests were relatively easy only spent about a half hour studying, hw was easy about 15 min per class. Bring textbook to class definitely or you will be lost.LNS101 2008-03-17 10:02:08 +0000 UTC
Within the first month of taking this class I learned more from him thenI did in 4 years of high school spanish. Do you homework, dont miss class and pay attention becuase he will call on you and will go onto a new subject the next day.LNS102 2006-11-18 11:53:25 +0000 UTC
Excellent teacher. Not much work but pay attention in class cause he tends to call on people.LNSU101 2006-08-02 04:03:41 +0000 UTC
Explains concepts and grammer in a fun and easy way. He does not assign too much work and you need to pay attention in class when he calls on you. Excellent prof.SPANISH1AND2 2006-06-27 02:40:26 +0000 UTC

Laplante is awesome. I can't believe he got a bad rating. I took Spanish II and 2 more years of spanish in high school & learned nothing, he is extremely comprehensive, taught me everything i know and explains things so you can really understand. He is MORE than fair and will tell you ahead of time what is on every Exam. He is the best language pSPANISHII 2005-12-16 10:56:48 +0000 UTC
