Paul is a great teacher. He always was open to helping and clarifying if need be. You need to go to class, just by the nature of the course. But there isn't much homework, and I consider it an easy A.AMSL201 2013-11-20 15:01:43 +0000 UTC
I was so surprised to read ANY negative comments about this man. He's so nice, funny, and willing to help!! Small class, so if you don't like being the center of attention, don't take it because he will ask you directly for examples. Bring the workbook everyday, do the hw, and you'll be fine! Grading can be thorough, but hey,it's a language class!ASL101 2012-11-13 18:57:44 +0000 UTC
Paul was easily the worst teacher I've ever had. Not only is he not understanding, but he has completely turned me away from taking any more ASL classes. He made me feel unwelcome, and it was the worst experience I have had in college.ASL02 2012-07-09 18:01:42 +0000 UTC
Paul is a great professor and wants to see everyone succeed. I would recommend him to anyone who has any interest in learning asl. It's a small class and you get a lot of individual attention. He does say a lot in english, which helps out when you don't understand a sign. Papers are easy and pointless, quizzes are easy if you practice!ASL1 2011-12-07 15:19:14 +0000 UTC
Prof Schreyer its so much fun. I love the classes although sometimes he just starts saying things completely unrelated to the topic. VERY disorganized, but turst me, you'll have fun. If it is not your major and you are not intrested, don't think that ASL is easy because it is not.AMSL1102 2011-04-14 15:38:53 +0000 UTC
He is a nice guy but very unclear with assignments. They will change without you knowing if you don't attend class. Also, a tough grader. You won't do too badly if you pay close attention in class.AMSL1101 2010-10-29 11:30:10 +0000 UTC
I LOVE PAUL!! I had Alma for ASL101 and HATED it; only took 102 because I had to. Lo and behold, I have been amazed at how great of a teacher Paul is and what a difference it makes to have someone who is clear, helpful, and nice. He REALLY wants you to learn and his in-class activities are fabulous. I actually want to learn more ASL thanks to Paul.ASL102 2008-05-29 21:25:53 +0000 UTC
Super nice guy...wants you to do well except for the fact that he grades ridiculously hard!! Its almost unfair, I mean, we're 101 students...we're not going to be perfect. Interesting and enjoyable class overall, just the grading-aspect is poorASLU101 2007-12-28 00:55:00 +0000 UTC
The professors are really redundant and disorganized when it comes to teaching the material. Assignments and papers will be due when it's not even listed on the syllabus. So if you miss a class and he assigns work you're definitely screwed if you're not friends with one of the ASL turds. Don't take this class if you're not an ASL major.HIST150 2007-01-12 16:17:51 +0000 UTC
Schreyer is tough, but it isn't unbearable. The only problem with the workload is if its not your major/you're not interested in it. He can be hard to understand, obviously, since he doesn't speak English, but he does want everyone to learn.ASL101 2010-04-24 17:28:50 +0000 UTC
If you are interested in learning American Sign Language he is the most passionate, helpful, and entertaining teacher. Be ready to work hard, but seriously enjoy the class.AMSL1101 2010-04-14 16:28:00 +0000 UTC
Wow. He has a temper. He is a very fast signer, so you better know your stuff. His assignments are confsing and unfair because changes details without warning. I loved ASL until I had him.ASL102 2008-02-27 17:12:13 +0000 UTC
The class pace is fast. He grades unfair, especially in essays. If he doesn't like you, you won't get an A no matter what. In addition, highest grade student got for participation is 90...ASL101 2009-12-07 18:49:14 +0000 UTC
Really nice guy, tries hard to make sure everyone understands what is going on, however VERY difficult grader, class requires a TON of work done outside the classroomASL102 2007-12-13 12:37:12 +0000 UTC
SOOO nice! He's really funny and a great teacher, just watch and practice, do your work and you'll get an A :) soooo nice :)ASL101 2006-02-28 17:34:52 +0000 UTC
