Was he teaching Bostonography or Criminology? Hard to tell from the daily 90 minute lectures on crime in Boston instead of learning Pandas. Feedback wildly inconsistent with grades (1 bad comment drop letter grade). Expects students to be pro data scientists when grading them. Isn't aware that grades are numbers not ranges. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!INSH2102 2021-05-03 19:48:57 +0000 UTC
Prof Tucker has a very specific grading criteria and does not make it clear, which can be very frustrating. It's possible to do well in his class, but you have to know exactly what he's looking for. He also seems to be unqualified to be teaching the class. Overall, the lectures and readings were quite boring. Take crim with a different professor.CRIM2200 2020-04-22 23:54:12 +0000 UTC
Professor Tucker is not as knowledgable or experienced as other professors in the field and may be less qualified. Lots of reading for the class that is unnecessary. Projects and tests make up most of your grade and they need to be executed in a specific way if you want to do well. Would not recommend if you want a serious and professional course.CRIM2200 2020-04-13 20:41:39 +0000 UTC
Prof Tucker tries really hard to be a good professor but fails. The readings are long, confusing, and its impossible to digest all the information. He grades harshly on random things and it does not seem like he is qualified to teach undergrad students.I recommend taking crim with a different professorCRIM2200 2020-04-11 16:23:37 +0000 UTC
I've never dreaded a class more than this one. He is incredibly boring and makes jokes about serious topics which make me feel like he's not qualified to be teaching the class. Lots of boring readings for homework and weekly quizzes. Sometimes he graded really tough and sometimes easily so it was hard to tell how you were doing.CRIM2200 2020-04-10 20:37:02 +0000 UTC
