He is not a good teacher. His mindset is "you either get it or you don't. And if you don't, then too bad". Very heavy on tests so prioritize those. Stay on his good side because if he doesn't like you he will be very rude and to be blunt extremely unprofessional. In all honesty he should not be a professor or in any level of authority.ME2380 2025-10-29 17:20:43 +0000 UTC
Literally run as far from this professor as you can. Laid back attitude that puts you at ease but comes back to bite you when he doesn't take concerns seriously. Thermo is already a tough class and this professor makes it worse.ME2380 2025-04-29 04:54:14 +0000 UTC
THIS GUY IS THE GOAT OF CURVING, UR ENTIRE GRADE IS P MUCH JUST THE MIDTERMS + FINAL SO JUST GRIND, BRO DOES NOT ANSWER EMAILS BUT AS LONG AS U GET LIKE A 50+ U WILL PASS W AT LEAST A BME2380 2025-04-28 20:39:12 +0000 UTC
Professor Jamali would be a great professor if he taught like he was teaching undergraduate students. Before giving out quizzes or exams, he claims that it should be "so easy" and then more than half of the class ends up failing. He refuses to take accountability for his shortcomings and tries to turn it back on the students.ME2380 2025-04-17 00:03:54 +0000 UTC
This class is a little bit hard. But overall if you pay attention, you should get a good gradeME2380 2025-04-15 16:52:47 +0000 UTC
Jamali would be a good thermo professor if he acted like he was being paid to do it. In the extremely face paced lectures, he is a pretty good professor. However there are no other extrenal recources. Trying to meet with him outside of class is essentially the same as calling an ex girlfriend- it leaves you dissapointed and is often unsuccessful.ME2380 2025-04-15 06:14:53 +0000 UTC
Easily the most extraordinary professor I've ever learned from. He didn't just teach thermodynamics—he brought it to life. His enthusiasm was contagious, his explanations were crystal clear, and his use of real-world examples made complex ideas feel intuitive. Every lecture felt like a masterclass in both science and teaching.ME2380 2025-04-07 21:43:24 +0000 UTC
The best professor I've ever had! He made me genuinely fall in love with thermodynamics and master every concept with ease. His passion, clarity, and real-life examples made every lecture inspiring and unforgettable. No doubt, the most impactful and inspiring teacher I've ever had.ME2380 2025-04-01 19:13:31 +0000 UTC
Easy class, he's the bestME2380 2025-04-01 19:07:43 +0000 UTC
Jamali definitely the best thermo professor and you should take him. If you go to class and do the homeworks you will do well. Thermo is a tough class and Jamali explains concepts well and cares about the success of all of his students. I recommend.ME2380 2023-05-01 20:00:44 +0000 UTC
This professor is a friendly professor and conveys information well. However he is not accessible outside class at all and has not responded to multiple emails. I know I have passed multiple quizzes and all of them are marked incomplete. Also beware this course no matter the professor has 37 homework assignments worth 5 percent of the final grade.ME2380 2023-04-10 20:31:16 +0000 UTC
Professor Jamali is probably the best professor I have had at NEU. He cares about students' success and understands what his students are thinking. He is very good at communicating the material to students and his section consistently tested higher than other sections due to his teaching ability. Thermo is a difficult course but he teaches it well.ME2380 2020-04-07 22:39:57 +0000 UTC
Super helpful and cares about students. Tough grader in a tough class.ME2380 2019-12-16 18:54:35 +0000 UTC
Prof Jamali did his absolute best to convey his knowledge of Thermodynamics to his students, and he did an excellent job. He is a caring and chill professor, and he seriously wants the students to succeed. It's a very tough class, but if you put the work in like he does himself, you will do well and come out knowing a ton of things about Thermo.ME2380 2019-12-09 23:39:30 +0000 UTC
One of the best professors I have had yet at NEU! Thermo is definitely a difficult topic, and many students in my class struggled, but Prof. Jamali gave each student a fair opportunity to succeed in his class if they were willing to work for it. Had an extensive knowledge of the material, and demonstrated extra effort to help his students succeed.ME2380 2019-12-09 23:37:56 +0000 UTC
