This professor is amazing! I'm not a huge film or photography person and took this to fulfill my NUpath, but he always made sure to push me out of my comfort zone whilst also being respectful and not too obvious about it. Not only is he funny, but just a good professor overall makes all students feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable.MSCR1230 2025-05-29 20:14:48 +0000 UTC
had him for a summer session. interesting course material but doesn't grade anything until mid-term and final. The late grading really affects perception and correction of the assigned projects since the feedback is delayed, so it's just hard to keep up with him and make changes in the projects' style/method. would never take him again.MSCR1220 2021-08-27 03:25:48 +0000 UTC
Genuinely terrible online class. Had him in person and he was great, so I was looking forward to his online class. regret taking it now though.MSCR3210 2020-07-29 12:58:26 +0000 UTC
Seth Mulliken is a very opinionated man. He's respectful of other opinions, but he makes his own very clear during lectures and sessions, so if you're not on the political left, you might feel uncomfortable. That being said, his class is easy, he teaches well, and his lessons are clear and easy to follow.MSCR2325 2017-05-01 21:05:47 +0000 UTC
Professor Seth Mulliken is super nice!!! He is my fav professor so far. He genuinely loves his job. He actually spends time on reading through all assignments and gives thorough feedback for improvement. If you really are seeking for progress, you definitely need to take his class. He cares about students a lot, especially international students.MACR2325 2016-12-08 17:23:42 +0000 UTC
he is really nice and helpful. Seth provided professional media and film background. Participation is recommended. He has strict requirements for a score of 93 or above, but it is not difficult to get an A. I also took MSCR2220. His knowledge and care made the class very chill and I could interact a lot with my classmates. also no exams!!!MSCR1230 2023-10-26 16:08:08 +0000 UTC

Seth was supportive and knowledgable. Had the best time in his class.MSCR3210 2016-01-12 23:26:51 +0000 UTC
Seth is by far my favorite teacher I've had at Northeastern. He truly cares about us learning, and about what he's teaching. I sort of fell into the class as an IAF major but I'm so happy I did. He's passionate and funny, and lectures are discussion based so pretty engaging. There is a decent amount of readings, but most are interesting &relevant.MSCR2325 2016-10-19 11:51:03 +0000 UTC
The material for this class was not difficult, however he graded all assignments extremely late. No one knew what their grade was which made it very difficult to raise my grade when we only have one assignment left. He is also a very harsh grader and did not give above a 90 to any student in the class on multiple projects.MSCR1230 2022-05-21 19:52:14 +0000 UTC
He is definitely one of my favorite professors at NEU. Loved his lectures. He is passionate about his job and movies and film-making in general which made his lectures even better. Also, he's funny. You'll have a good laugh every now and then. Gives good feedback and is encouraging. I would highly recommend taking his class!MSCR1220 2017-04-12 17:26:52 +0000 UTC
Seth is awesome. He's super smart and gives excellent feedback. Class was collaborative and discussion based so do the reading! There's a lot of it but it's usually pretty interesting. I would definitely take a class with him again.MSCR3210 2015-06-03 18:58:40 +0000 UTC
Seth is a super kind and nice professor. There's no exams for his class. you can really learn something from him and have a lot of opportunities to discuss in class. I feel I am highly engaged.MSCR1230 2022-05-06 01:57:17 +0000 UTC
The class should really be titles "Intro to Media Production" rather than "Intro to Film Production." He's very passionate about movies and film-making, which makes for a great learning experience. He's gives lots of feedback, but you don't know your grades until the end of the semester.MSCR1220 2016-11-14 14:49:54 +0000 UTC
Seth -- yes, he wants you to call him Seth -- is one of the best professors I've had at Northeastern. He assigns a lot of reading but he knows most of it won't get done and compensates by making his discussions interactive and easy to understand. He assigned 4 papers and one big project, but they were all very simple. No exams, no quizzes.MSCR3210 2015-04-24 12:32:55 +0000 UTC
