Great dude and professor. Really cares about his students, and loves the material he teaches so much that he literally smiles throughout lecture. Would recommend to anyone. This class was pretty great too.EECE4542 2018-06-25 16:45:20 +0000 UTC
Best professor and nice course to learn.EECE7360 2017-04-15 13:18:56 +0000 UTC
Found the Limits of Scientific Knowledge to be a pretty interesting class. He clearly has put a lot of time into planning the class and lectures. The in-class discussions are probably the best and most thought-provoking part of the course. Of the classes I've taken, probably the one of the best that balances work while still keeping it interesting.HONR331010 2014-12-01 16:39:45 +0000 UTC
Great professor, easily one of my favorites at NEUEECE4638 2014-06-26 12:46:12 +0000 UTC
Explained everything very thoroughly, and made sure everyone knew a topic before moving on. Was still able to cover a lot of topics despite being so thoroughEECE3326 2014-04-18 10:57:03 +0000 UTC
He was one of the professors I had at NEU. I still refer to my text and his notes for my work. I took the course in 2002 and I still remember him very well.DONTREMEMBER 2013-04-24 11:17:26 +0000 UTC
Teaches an interesting class and makes things relatively easy to understand, but he isn't very clear in his expectations on assignments and can be slow to give feedback. For a math major, this honors seminar is more related to my major than any other one I've seen offered.HONR3302 2012-12-30 11:24:41 +0000 UTC
Had him for Optimization Method. Great teachers! Very fair and practical. I will say for seasoned programmers, the first few weeks of the class are extremely basic and will bore the crap out of you. However thats not the prof's fault. He taught the material very well and is one of the few NEU teachers I've enjoyed.OPTMETH 2008-02-06 13:38:43 +0000 UTC
Waleed was a great teacher, and the orginization of the class was great and to be fair, that homework assignment he gave us the weekend before finals was because we didn't actually have a final to study for, so it was actually a nice thing by him. The people who got in trouble DID cheat, so, that sucks for them.OPTMETHODS 2006-02-14 12:19:30 +0000 UTC
OPT METHODS, Waleed has been the worst professor I have had at northeastern. Waleed gave a HW assignment due the Saturday during finals week. He thought I cheated on it and took me to OSCCR. I lost and was put on probation. He made more than half of our class go to OSCCR for this assignment. He is an awful prof. as well as a relentless prick.ECEU326 2006-02-14 12:10:38 +0000 UTC
Great professor for any algorithms class, really cares about the students getting a good understanding of the materialEECE4542 2018-06-21 10:54:04 +0000 UTC
I think the professor teaches well and make difficult knowledeges well understoodEECE7360 2017-04-10 22:24:01 +0000 UTC
Very clear. Course is very easy, bordering on trivial. If you somehow made it this far and don't know how to program, then the course will be hard; otherwise easy grade booster.EECE4638 2014-01-19 16:21:30 +0000 UTC
Waleed is clear, concise and on point. He comes prepared to teach. Always asks for students' feedback in class to keep them engaged.EECE3326 2014-04-18 09:41:33 +0000 UTC
The professor is a very interesting professor. He tends to challenge his students to the limits, and makes them search into concepts outside of class. Some of the homeworks were difficult, but I would definitely take a course with Prof. Meleis.HONR3302 2012-12-28 14:11:10 +0000 UTC
