Try hard & you will do well. I didn't care much about this class and GENUINELY don't think I deserved to pass but I believe he curved it and now I am. Has a thick accent but I didn't find it too hard to understand. Everyone was very skeptical at first and complained, but was comfortable at the end. Grading was homework 40%, mid-term 30%, cumulative final 30%. You'll have to do a lot of self-study because he didn't really take the time to explain the python coding we did. Exams consist of statistics problems that he never went over in class and 1 coding question. He is one of the best professors I ever had at Northeastern University. The lecture contains lots of new concepts which means it's a bit lecture heavy, but he always tries to explain it in great detail and makes sure everyone follows him. Highly recommend! Avoid at all costs! Very difficult to understand because of his accent and lectures are unengaging-he just talks to the board with no acknowledgement of the class. AVOID. You will come out of this class having learned nothing. Good intentions, but outrageously terrible professor. He has a hard time describing any concept and his syllabus is all over the place. chill guy, has an accent that is hard to understand initially but you get used to it. Even though he has a really bad accent in English, and the grade of the course is only divided into 3 parts, which is problem set 1, 2, and a take-home final exam. The grades he gave were HIGHER than other profs! (As the average grade of the 1st assignment was 88 and I got 100 points. AVOID. Nice guy, but horrible teacher. Did not learn a single thing and exams are worth majority of your grade. Exams on paper. Lectures are long, boring, confusing. The professor is very caring. He cares about the success of his students. He is easily available. He is very knowledgeable. What you learn is very practical, and he summarizes all the information you learn in class to what actually matters. It is very clear what to study and how to get a good grade.
