The worst professor I have encountered at Northeastern. Mind-numbing and disorganized lectures. Student participation was virtually nonexistent. I wouldn't recommend taking this professor. Her lectures never made sense to me and were not engaging at all. Participation counts, but she won't pick you to speak while looking right at you. Would not reccomend! She mostly reads off her slides filled with random info but doesn't teach. Weekly open-note quizzes: most of the time the material on her slides is ambiguous or doesn't answer the questions on the quizzes. Professor Karlinsky was truly the most unpleasanr professor I have taken a class with in my 4 years at Northeastern. She is rude and unprofessional in class. She demeans her students when they don't know the correct answer or asks a question and acts like a know-it-all, depsite being a horrible educator. When you ask for help or feedback, she is unable to give constructive feedback that can better any understanding of what you are asking about. She is extremely condescending and just talks for 2 hours straight. If you ask a question she will just be rude and respond as if you're challenging her. Her feedback is extremely unclear and she doesnt like if people ask to clarify because again she feels challenged.
