SO funny. Exams are all take home. Just a chill guy who loves birds. He rly does it for the love of the game. Would take again 10/10BIOL3413 2025-12-16 22:44:01 +0000 UTC
Quizzes are based entirely on his lectures even if that's not what is factually correct, a lot is misspelled, very little time allotted, and his slides are written horribly. In the class I took, his quizzes were weighed the same as the midterm and final exam. Easy enough professor, but prepare to be frustrated.BIO1211 2025-04-18 19:12:11 +0000 UTC
All I have to say is, he is an icon, he's a legend, and he is the moment. Truly hilarious, but professional, professor. Will make you laugh until you cry. He ate.BIOL3401 2024-04-26 18:55:02 +0000 UTC
took this course summer 2 for nupath requirement and it consisted of 2 group projects and weekly discussion boards + mastering hws. honestly i loved this class bc it was really interesting, yet not hard at all. really recommendBIOL1143 2023-02-23 08:16:52 +0000 UTC
Lectures are fun and interesting, exams are very easy (all multiple choice), and he's pretty laid back. If you haven't taken a basic bio class before, it will be difficult because he doesn't explain things in detail.BIOL1111 2020-11-21 06:36:18 +0000 UTC
Aaron is hands down the best professor I have ever had. He brings profound storytelling experience to the classroom in a laid-back way, as a result, his teaching effectiveness is substantial and needs proper recognition. If you are interested in the sciences or are considering a STEM career, I cannot recommend a better place to start.BIO1100 2020-10-07 19:41:06 +0000 UTC
I graduated 4 years ago and I still say Aaron Roth was my favorite professor. Super dry sense of humor and passionate about zoology when he gets going. He introduced us to a hilarious YouTube series about weird animals and we spent a Mammalogy class in the Fens listening to him nerd out about birds. 10/10 would get a beer with Roth.BIOL2317 2020-08-26 21:06:59 +0000 UTC
I took comparative avian structure and function with Aaron Roth and it was one of my favorite classes I've taken at Northeastern. He's a great teacher, super funny and engaging and his tests are totally fair. The slides had barely any info on them so you had to go to class to get the notes, but other than that class was a breeze.BIOL3415 2020-04-08 17:58:42 +0000 UTC
Literally the best professor I have ever had. His lectures are great. He is hilarious. His exams are straight forward. You will enjoy learning in this class.BIO111 2018-11-19 03:25:05 +0000 UTC
BEST PROF EVER. You come out of his class having learned SO much. He makes 11/10 Dad jokes, and doesn't expect you to memorize everything for his exams.BIOL2299 2018-11-01 21:24:51 +0000 UTC

Professor Roth is a really great guy. I liked his class a lot, and he is pretty funny. Help is there if you need it, but most people get by with mild studying.1111 2015-04-16 20:25:22 +0000 UTC
