Prof. Bauer is an amazing professor. Her lectures are so interesting and I learned so much in this class. Unfortunately, she had to step away for the last couple weeks of the semester, but I would highly recommend taking classes with her. Prof. Bauer had to step away before the end of the semester, but I loved her. She is very respected in the department and in the Boston area as she has a lot of incredible experience. Her lectures are very in-depth. She is a tough grader but wants you to succeed in the course and will ensure you do well. Super kind, knowledgeable woman who clearly cares about what she is teaching. Very accessible after class for questions. Midterm exam was somewhat difficult but final is a group project which helped boost the grade. Prof. Bauer was awesome. I truly enjoyed taking her for hc policy and admin. I was nervous at first that it was going to be rlly hard but she gives great feedback. She also includes videos and stuff in her lectures. We do discussions sometimes but they don't feel forced and everyone seemed comfortable speaking in her class. Professor Bauer is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. She made the class super interesting and kept us engaged despite the dense material. She is fair with the discussion questions & the policy assignment and is always happy to help during class, outside of class, & through email. I really like Professor Bauer, she cares about her students. Her lectures are pretty dense but not particularly difficult to understand. The only exam is the midterm which accounts for 25% of your grade, and it is TAKEN IN PERSON (used to be online, not anymore). Professor Bauer is very passionate about healthcare policy and incorporates her past experiences into her lectures, but sometimes it can be a little much, where it gets to the point that she is bragging about what she has achieved. Professor Bauer has been one of my favorite profs at NU! She has so much previous experience working in the field that she ties into her lectures to help students really understand the material. Professor Bauer is one of the best professors I have had at Northeastern. She is passionate about the material she is teaching, and is able to explain complex topics in a really clear way. Participation matters so much in class that you cannot even look away from the presenter for a second.
