Claudia was an AMAZING professor. I took her biology class and had absolutely 0 complaints. If you pay attention in class, do the notes, and just put in effort, you will do just fine. One of the best professors I've had. I took Anthropology of Latin America as a Spanish minor and totally changed my worldview. Prof Santelices is amazing! She makes her lectures engaging and always ties them to personal stories and research. When she assigns papers, she lets you send drafts beforehand for feedback and is very accessible in and out of class. She is kind, accommodating, and overall incredible. Claudia is the best! She's so easy going and wants all of her students to do very well in her class. She's always willing to work with students about anything, so don't be afraid to ask for assignment extensions or extra help with something. DON'T buy the book!! Professor Santelices is so kind and is willing to work with students who need quiz retakes, missed class, and allows the class to pick midterm and quiz dates. She gives great feedback and uses her own research as examples so lectures are engaging. The class is super easy and she is a very easy grader. Everyone in the class got 100 for every reflection paper and take-home quizzes. the Lecture slides are boring and mostly common sense, so you do not need to study hard to get a 100 on her exams. Really liked the class and most quizzes and reflection papers were take home. As long as you try, she will give you a good grade. There were 4 quizzes (3 take home), 4 reflection papers (3 take home), a midterm and a final. I found her lectures super interesting and she wasn't a super harsh grader. You need to study the material on the slides really well. The tests weren't hard but definitely harder than what we learned in class...
