Professor Milbauer is one of the sweetest souls I've met at Northeastern. The class discussions are very relaxed, and all opinions are welcome and appreciated. One of my favorite professors at my time at NU! She is so accommodating and you can tell she has a lot of passion for the subject, which makes the class so much more exciting. Dr. Milbauer was the best professor I've had at Northeastern so far. She is caring and always willing to help you. Effort and participation matters a lot. Her class is really hard especially in the summer, but she knows it is hard and has a lot of measures to help you do well even if you're struggling. If you put in the work, it works out. She was so understanding of everything that has happened to anyone ever. Her class lectures could drag on a bit but her assignments were interesting as was the content most of the time. Prof Milbauer is super passionate about public health, it's very inspiring and gets you super interested in the field. Took it over the summer, so didn't get all of the usual curricula, but there was a small group project with one partner and a presentation. She is super understanding if you run into issues. Professor Milbauer was so sweet and caring. Her exams are very straightforward. She sends out a powerpoint of all the topics on the exam as a study guide which is extremely helpful. She is the sweetest!! the class is super chill and easy, so as long as you show up (bc its apart of the grade) and participate in discussion every so often you'll be fine.
