great professor. hard class, to achieve a high grade you should show up every class.FINA2201 2025-12-29 16:34:12 +0000 UTC
The class is interesting but the tests are extremely difficult and rushed. He thinks that if he can finish in 35 minutes, students can in an hour, which is crazy since he's been a professor for so long. Each test has an unseen honor question worth 15%, but there's no time for it. He's nice and offers extra points in office hours, which helps.FINA4512 2025-12-14 04:18:52 +0000 UTC
The best professor I have ever met. Very inspirational, hilarious, and realistic class that guides your real-life decision-making in the Finance context rather than just telling you theory in the textbook. He always requires students to understand the root of every matter instead of teaching too many advanced things. In short, he is different.FINA6205 2023-12-09 06:07:23 +0000 UTC
This guy will try to scare you on the first day. "it is the most challenging course you will take at northeastern", which it is, not hard, but challenging. Throughout the term if you put in the effort you can learn much more than any class. He breaks the concepts down into the most basic ingredients individually, so you may understand them fully.FINA4320 2022-11-15 04:18:24 +0000 UTC
He does not teach, he inspires, he challenges and he sows the seeds of creative thinking.Any concept taught is beautifully exposed from both a conceptual and a practical viewpoint. He navigates you through the stormy seas of Finance with an unparalleled elegance: Every concept is dissected and every theory is derived. Nothing is left ex nihilo.FINA6211 2013-05-25 18:25:28 +0000 UTC

Section-not sure. Anand was hands down the best professor I have had during my Northeastern tenure. Once you get to know him, he's really down to earth and intelligent. He will take the time to teach you as long as you don't slack off. Always willing to meet you as long as you email him ahead of time. Use common sense and you'll be good to go.FRM3401 2011-10-31 14:29:22 +0000 UTC
Avoid at all costs. Goes too slow but when the mid term comes around, you are hit with a test that can not be completed in the allotted time.FIN201 2009-10-22 14:29:00 +0000 UTC
Professor was excellent. The class was is difficult by nature. Prof. is extremely helpful always willing to slow down or go over material twice. Lenient Grader. I would take him again :)FI4000 2008-07-07 12:16:13 +0000 UTC
He must have changed in the past semester or so b/c everyone in my class agrees that he is a bad teacher. The problems we do in class are easy, but on the tests there are questions we've never practiced or seen before! He always smirks and makes it obvious he's smarter than you by yelling at students. 2 midterms & 1 final. Class avg. on tests = 80.FINU201 2007-11-14 09:31:48 +0000 UTC
great professor. really wants students to understand material. tests are the same problems that are given on the reviews, diff. numbers, of course. good class, learned more than i have learned on any other finance class.FIN320 2006-04-27 12:03:55 +0000 UTC
Great teacher, knows his stuff. Tests can be difficult, but overall a decent course.FINU320 2006-04-27 11:21:12 +0000 UTC
very funny, good teacher, very smart but doesnt like chatter from his students. make sure you go to class the problems he does in class are the ones on the tests, tells many stories.FINU301 2005-04-03 15:57:08 +0000 UTC
TAKE FINA2201 WITH ANAND. He knows his online course sucks, and he does give partial credit. Some people disagree but I think that as long as you know the in-class problems the exams are straight forward. Gives points back at office hours. Not hard to do well in this class. Super accessible in office hours. He made finance actually make sense.FINA2201 2025-11-25 04:23:38 +0000 UTC
One of the best classes I've taken at Northeastern. He teaches analytical thinking, not just concepts, and is very accessible outside class. He helped me secure a research/teaching assistantship and build a strong foundation for my quant career and graduate studies.FINA4512 2025-05-27 01:44:28 +0000 UTC
