His lectures are impossible to learn from because I honestly couldn't understand anything he said. For the first half of the course we took 2 quizzes and then he made us take 2 quizzes per week because he couldn't plan accordingly. The professor is creative with projects, but understanding him is difficult since English isn't his first language (he mainly speaks Chinese). If you show up to class, show interest, and you are a dedicated person there is no reason you will not succeed. Run! Tough grader! The worst professor in all my classes! I got an average of 95 in midterms and final but ending in a B? The grades for cases and group projects are so mean! He is the worst professor I have ever got in my life. Do not take any subject that he is teaching unless you wanna fail. Insanely unorganized, took 2 quizzes in the span of one and a half months, now he realizes that we need to take 12 quizzes in total, now we have a quiz literally every class, 2 quizzes per class (2 quizzes per week). I had Professor Chiou for Investments and he is a great professor that brings in real world events to teach and keep you informed. If you utilize office hours, ask meaningful questions, and show interest, he will go the extra mile to help you. Group projects are straightforward. You cant understand a single thing he says, he is evasive and unhelpful every which way, and when you come to him for help he only tells you to either sleep less and study more. He does not grade fairly, does not explain his rationale for grades, and does not show any understanding of the course content or willingness to support students both in and outside the classroom.
