Honestly, I didn't pay attention much and still did very well in her class, so if you're looking for an easy/interesting Bio elective definitely take her. Since Inq. was about the prof's papers, she was really passionate and I felt like I left the class with a much better knowledge about what research is about and why research matters. An amazing, amazing teacher. If you can take a class with her, you 1000% should. She is so sweet and excellent at explaining stuff. I took her current topics in bio course and had such a wonderful time. I looked forward to class every day! I took her inquiries section in Skeletal Regeneration After Injury and she's easily my favorite professor. Really cares about students and the content and is super flexible. Always throughly explains concepts that can be tricky. Make sure to participate a lot because she will appreciate it and give you extra credit. Very kind, interacts with students constantly, and gives ample opportunity for students to correct misconceptions. Quizzes are graded easily and online. Accessible during office hours and very helpful. Dr. Ionescu is such a nice person and a great professor. She is very passionate about her research and works hard to make sure the class understands the material, despite its difficulty. Absolute GEM. So merciful with grades, a genius in her field, and a sweetheart. Listens to students' suggestions and gives two attempts on quizzes. I had her for Skeletal Development & Regeneration After Injury. The material is hard but she is amazing at clarifying it. As long as you pay attention you will do awesome.
