Phenomenal professor who is passionate about his work and cares for students' success. If you are a responsible student who puts forth effort in classes you will thrive here. Graded on 3 exams, homework's, and attendance/participation. Homework's are auto 100 p much. ONLY downside is he doesn't give much practical practice for exams. Prof Andres was very clear with what is included on the exams and he teaches the material quite well. All the materials you need to know is available on his slides and you get unlimited attempts on the homework. Participate matters but he allows two abscenses along with wellness days. Great professor who is fair, interactive, and fun to be around. Easy to access outside of class and I recommend you do, does some really cool research. Class is dependent on homeworks and exams, homeworks are easy 100. Read the textbook, and give practice problems/homework effort and you will be more than good. Lecture heavy, but he explains things very simply and is passionate about finance. He makes himself very available to students. You are required to participate every class (A TA sits in the class and tracks whether you spoke or not). Most of the grade comprises the 2 midterms and the final. I didn't think I could enjoy Finance, but I enjoyed this class! Prof is so knowledgeable and he always makes sure everyone is understanding the material. His slides are great to study with. I really enjoyed professor Andres. He is very caring and really cares for his students. Finance can be challenging, but he made it as simple as possible.
