Participation is weighted through cold calls.. had some embarrassing experiences. Exams are just like practice tests (which is nice), but they're still hard. Gives lots of credit for showing work. BEWARE! The tests are stupid and too specific. Asks you to memorize 3 chapters for a test and then will only ask you 6 questions on the test that are niche and u would be lucky to remember the answer. he's aware that his tests are like this, but does nothing to make a change. He's a good person and extremely knowledgeable on the finance industry as he's a former MD and even ran his own hedge fund. However, tests are hard and make up your whole grade, and lectures are un engaging. Hides your grade until the final and homework's have constant errors/bugs. I think his teaching style is a little much, as his practice problems have you trying to figure out things that he doesn't go over in the lecture. He will reason this with "I want you to know more"; when I'm studying for a test, I don't want to pour my energy into things that won't come up. Great Professor. He has a strong financial background and gives good advice outside of just lectures/tests. His homework assignments are a little annoying but most of your grade is assessment-based. He worked at a hedge fund and provides great knowledge in the finance sector. There is homework for each chapter on Respondus which is annoying but he gives two attempts each so it's easy to do well.
