He's definitely a sweet guy, and you can tell he's passionate, but he's not very good at teaching. He made us by his $30 book (only could pay cash to him) and I never used it all semester. Do your GPA a favor and take him! His class is very lecture-heavy there are open response quizzes which he will allow anyone who gets less than an A to redo. As long as you attend class and are somewhat knowledgeable about something he will give you an A in the class. No final exam just a paper. Prof O'Malley's class was a joke. I attended class but you really done need to. Grade is based on 3 major tests and thats it. April 14th and no grades have been put in yet. The slides are wordy and he goes off on tangents a lot. Nice guy but I don't think his main interest is anatomy. He taught the class out of his own textbook and I never really had a full grasp on the content so if that bothers you he probably isn't a great prof for you. That being said he is very sweet/ very easy to get a high grade, he wants you to succeed and learn a little about a topic he's passionate about which I really loved. Don's class is the definition of lecture heavy. Longggg lectures that even I couldn't keep up with note taking just bc of how boring they were. He is sort of nice but kind of sassy and also thinks he is smarter than his own doctor (which he told us). DO THE PRACTICE TESTS!! His lectures make no sense, he makes up his own terms (can't find them on Google), he makes you buy his own textbook, etc. However, this class is an easy A. It is way easier than any of the other inquires classes. If you turn in the assignments and take the quizzes you will get a 100. very nice guy, but cant teach. his lectures are all over the place and impossible to follow. he makes up his own terms for things, so you can't even ask google if you're confused. no one learned anything in this class. however, he doesn't give anyone below 100 so its an easy ABIOL2299 2024-12-05 22:20:42 +0000 UTC
O'Malley genuinely just wants you to do well in his class. His lectures can be convoluted and hard to follow, mostly because he just really loves what he teaches, but he gives you every possible opportunity to get an A. It is a great class. He is very nice as he brings candy to class to encourage participation among students. As long as you know something on the quizzes he will give you an A or allow you to make it up to get an A.
