He's a pretty chill professor, he's good at explaining problems and generally pretty amenable to partial credit if you can explain your thinking well. Super funny and down to earth, clearly cares a lot about making sure we're actually learning. Very open to feedback, the course was pretty flexible and a lot was up to what works best for us.PHTH6202 2026-02-20 02:30:04 +0000 UTC
Farzard professor is incredibly engaging and truly cares about student learning. Lectures are clear, thoughtful, and well-structured. He creates a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged. He challenges you in the best way and provides meaningful feedback. You leave the course feeling more confident and capable.PHTH2210 2026-02-18 22:35:12 +0000 UTC
This class was extremely difficult to follow. It is a statistics course, but very little statistics were taught but rather most of it was stated to be intuitive and that we should already know the math side. He uses a lot of AI and will answer students questions in class using AI rather than using his own degree. Very test heavy.PHTH2210 2025-12-13 00:47:46 +0000 UTC
Honestly a joke this class used so much AI it's not even funny, the lectures were unegaging and fast paced for an introductory level course. Gave extra credit for attendance but wouldn't be my first choice, the exams were extremely difficult and be prepared to put in a lot of effortPHTH2210 2025-12-12 23:06:48 +0000 UTC
Farzad is very nice and clearly likes the topic but he often goes on unrelated tangents. Homeworks are fine but the tests are not like what we learn in class. He uses AI to teach and spent an entire class plugging our questions into AI. He is very bad at responding to emails and hard to reach.PHTH2210 2025-12-11 20:50:16 +0000 UTC
If you want to pass this class, then DO NOT listen to anything he tells you to study to prepare for his midterm or final exams. He told me to focus on the 2 practice exams he posted and the review questions for we over in class for the midterm and the actual exam was NOTHING like what he posted. Just focus on his slides mostly and assignments.PHTH2210 2025-10-12 21:08:01 +0000 UTC
Good instructor, funny and informative.PHTH2210 2023-11-20 19:19:11 +0000 UTC
If you have the option for biostats you should 100% take him. I didn't attend lectures a lot cuz he just goes through slides which I did on my own. There are weekly labs and (easy) quizzes. I recommend trying to do good on those and get help from recitation because you can get an easy B+ or A from doing well on those. Also a midterm and a final.PHTH2210 2023-05-05 19:51:24 +0000 UTC
Professor Noubary usually did a very good job at explaining statistics concepts, but sometimes he would over-explain to the point where he bored the class and he became difficult to pay attention to. That being said, homework consisted of weekly quizzes and labs that were usually not too difficult but were annoying to do.PHTH2210 2023-04-30 15:54:55 +0000 UTC
