Lectures are really good and make a lot of sense. Very accessible outside of class with office hours and TA's hosting recitation sessions. Biggest recommendation is finding worksheets online from other teachers and practicing those cause the aktiv PS are not at all like the tests. Exams are impossible difficulty our averages for them were very low. Everyone who says we didn't dedicate enough be for real we have other classes that are also difficult I studied for week and half earlier and still did bad.Most of the class ended with Cs. Very difficult class because she just expects so much compared to the other professors but if you are able to keep up you will leave her course set up so well for further classes. POV im at snell for DAYS on end, stomach grumbling, tired asf, nothing in front of me except my hope and dreams and my ipad obvi. Study sessions are 10+ hours. You take the exam feeling alright, tears in your eyes though. Then it gets graded and you failed. Professor Ferris was amazing. She made organic chemistry easier than gen chem. Her lecture slides make it so easy to follow and understand the material. This professor has given me nothing in life. When I think of life, I immediately think about my life before this class and how much better it was. Mind you this professor went from a 4.1 to a 2.7. Beware. If you even want a chance of getting anything above a B- do not take this prof. She grades extremely harshly and does not ever consider another opinion, especially during regrading. Very over-hatted professor. Orgo is supposed to be very hard and other professors are easier and offer extra credit, but this shouldn't warrant bad reviews for Grace. I got well above average in class 100% in the other categories, and still don't have an A. Other teachers at least curve!!no test corrections, no ability to move up a grade. Study for about an entire week before exams still dont do as well as id like.
