The only thing that makes students wanna stay in the classroom is attendance. His lecture wasn't helpful, and I need to go over all the materials by myself after the class. There comes a time when every professor must retire. I've had teachers who want to work forever. But in those cases, it severely hurts the students, as we must teach everything ourselves. The class is easy enough if you are willing to study a little outside of class, I personally didn't really absorb the lectures because they are so word heavy and long, but he is passionate about econ (so idk what the other review are talking about). Do not take this professor. It's known to be an easy A, but he does NOT teach and is incredibly unhelpful during office hours. It appears he has no passion for econ, or really anything in life. Super easy grader and easy grading criteria. Gives insane amounts of extra credit. I only needed an 88 for an A in his class due to extra credit. However, if you really want to learn and not self-study, do not take him. His lectures are extremely boring and you don't learn much even if you pay attention. I very much enjoyed my semester with professor Dew. He has two midterms both worth 25%, a final worth 30%, and the rest is a group project, HW, attendance, and participation. He grades on the easier side and was very understanding of some personal issues I had during the semester. Gives LOTS of extra credit. Nice guy, would highly recommend.
