The class itself isn't hard, it's a lot of unnecessary lecturing, the grade is completely based on your group project, quizzes, + simulations, don't missing one really hurts your grade. Has a very easy class but that has nothing to do with his teaching. He lets you use a self-made study guide during exams. Lots of HW which are often poorly worded and are weighted fairly heavily. Lectures are ppt-based and he would ask people to talk about the homework assignment. There's a fair amount of homework (stimulation project, Sona system, and 10 written homework assignments). Professor Rafferty's classes are very boring. He has no control over the class and people can just hang out or do other classwork if they feel like it. I personally didn't do a lot and still came out with a B+. If you turn in all HW assignments and try a little hard you will probably get an A.
