Prof Marks has a unique way of explaining difficult and hard to grasp concepts by giving unique examples and comparisons. This makes the learning experience very intuitive and helped me understand topics that I was already familiar with from a different angle. Lectures were interesting and engaging, he's great at explaining hard concepts. Exams are difficult, the study guides help but you must review all content to do well. Projects are manageable, but you will get screwed if your group has no idea what they're doing. Heavy curve at the end. Best professor i have ever taken in the MBA Program. He is a very kind, knowledgeable and logical professor to guide students through the course. It is very clear and easy to understand what he is teaching although this course includes many specialized finance knowledge. Prof. Marks is the BEST Finance Prof at NEU. He is so great at teaching especially when he can turn boring materials into fun lectures with insightful real life examples. His exams are med-difficult, which you would do well if you actually study. It was not a surprise to see Professor Marks get an award for best professor in the business school! He is incredibly nice and really cares about the material and the class. Despite the material being challenging, he does a terrific job of making it understandable and offering plenty of OH's to further explain if needed.
